New Zees Topic Itinerary

NOTE:  Depending on how planning discussions are going for the October and January meetings, additional meetings may be held to keep the group on task.

June:          Get to Know Your Fellow NewZees – Open Discussion, Fun

*15 mins dedicated to discussion of 2 primary responsibilities of the group to get them thinking – October Meeting and January Meeting

July:           Zonta 101: An Overview of Committee Organization Structure – including a brief overview of the Antique Show in Sept. (more detailed meetings on all committees will be later on in the year)

                   *The current President, Vice-President and Chairs of Finance, PR/Communications, Status of Women/Service, and Organization/Membership & Classification Committees will attend to introduce themselves and a discussion of the club-Area-District-International arrangement and commitments

August:       UN Discussion – Zonta International & Advocacy

                   *A discussion of what Zonta International does and how our local club fits in with this mission

*A discussion of what the 16 Days of Activism and how our local club is participating.  Idea sharing for involvement of our club.

                   *15-20 mins dedicated to planning the October Meeting.

September: UN Meeting Hosted By NewZees     - Planning & Coordinating Session

October:     UN Meeting Hosted By NewZees     - Last Minute Planning & Coordinating Session

November:  Amelia Earhart Information and Beginning of Planning January Meeting

December:  Finance Structure of Zonta

                   *Finance Committee Chair will give a detailed description of how the finances within Zonta operate

*15-20 mins dedicated to planning the January Meeting

January:     Earhart Meeting Hosted by NewZees – Last Minute Planning & Coordinating Session

February:   Service – Scholarships & Other Programs

                   *A discussion of what Zonta does for the community, state, nation, and internationally through scholarship programs and other service-orientated projects, including information on how NewZees can participate..

March:        Leadership Roles

*Discussion of where to begin a leadership role within the Zonta organization.  Discussion of responsibilities of duties and/or nominations that have indicated interest in Board members and elected seats within the organization.

April:          Antique Show Discussion

                   *A discussion of what the Antique show is and the ways to volunteer to help is given by the head.  This will be pertinent as the show is in Sept.

May:           PR/Communication

*A discussion of the communications plan put in place by Zonta, including information on how NewZees can participate.
